England loses Harry Kane to injury before of the USA matchup at the 2022 World Cup

England manager Gareth Southgate is concerned about an injury after learning that captain Harry Kane would have an ankle scan.

After being tackled by Morteza Pouraliganji in the second half of Monday’s triumph over Iran, Kane appeared to be in a lot of pain.

The Three Lions remained on the field until the 75th minute, at which point Callum Wilson took his position.

On Tuesday, the 29-year-old participated in an indoor recovery session, which was considered as good news.

However, Kane will have more testing on the joint before Friday’s match against the USA.

It is currently unknown if he will train with the rest of his teammates today, despite the FA downplaying the injury scare from yesterday.

Gareth Southgate, the team’s head coach, said: “I think Harry’s fine.” He continued playing despite what appeared to be a poor tackle.

We removed him from the game because we thought it was a suitable time to do so.

However, England must now wait in suspense to learn how serious Kane’s ankle issue is.
