Messi is offered nearly twice Ronaldo’s pay by another Al-Nassr rival to quit PSG.

Al-Ittihad has joined Al-Hilal in the pursuit of signing Lionel Messi, the forward for Paris Saint-Germain, according to Marca.

This week, it was revealed that Al-Hilal was prepared to spend £245 million on Messi.

However, the 35-year-old is “now also thought to have exhibited interest” by Al-Ittihad.

The eye-watering £306 million per season that both clubs are willing to pay Messi would surpass the £175 million that his former rival Cristiano Ronaldo makes at Al-Nasr.

The Ligue 1 champions are frantically trying to persuade Messi to extend his current PSG contract, which is set to expire in June 2023.

The World Cup champion captain of Argentina, though, would be eager to rekindle his battle with Ronaldo in the Middle East.
